3. Subscriptions, included credits, payment, refunds, and cancellation
Subscription fees are charged in advance for the billing period shown at checkout. By subscribing, you authorise us and our payment provider to charge the stated price on the initial purchase and on each renewal date until you cancel.
Paddle is the authorised reseller and Merchant of Record for purchases made through Paddle Checkout. Paddle handles payment collection, invoicing, applicable transaction taxes, refunds, and first-tier order support. TechImpacts provides the software, account access, fulfilment, and technical support.
Credits are granted only after the payment provider confirms a successful payment. Monthly subscriptions receive their allowance after each successful monthly invoice. Annual subscriptions receive their stated allowance monthly, not as a full year of credits in advance.
Free-trial credits, when offered, are granted once at signup. If a renewal payment fails, access may temporarily continue while the payment provider retries, but no new subscription allowance is granted for an unpaid period. Some payments require additional authentication; credits are granted only after successful payment.
Subscription allowance credits expire at the end of each applicable grant period and do not roll over.
Subscription purchases and renewals are generally non-refundable, subject to our Refund Policy, Paddle's authority to approve refunds, and mandatory consumer remedies. We do not provide a seven-day money-back guarantee or automatic prorated refunds for unused time or unused subscription credits.
You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal; it does not reverse the charge for the current billing period. Your paid access continues until the end of the billing period you already paid for, and you will not be charged for the following period.
If you cancel after a renewal has already been processed, that renewal remains the current paid billing period and is subject to the same non-refundable policy. Cancellation then prevents the next renewal.
Plan changes take effect at the next renewal, with no mid-cycle charge, refund, prorated credit, or partial allowance. You keep the current plan through the period already paid for.
An AI request may temporarily reserve credits before it runs. A successful request is charged for its actual usage, not the temporary reservation. If an AI provider request fails, the reservation is released and no credits are charged.
Some features require a minimum balance or enough credits to cover their maximum possible usage. A chat response can occasionally cost more than the minimum needed to start and may leave a small negative balance; further paid requests are blocked until another subscription allowance is granted or support corrects the balance.
Refunds, payment reversals, and payment disputes may reverse subscription credits previously granted for the affected payment. If those credits were already used, the account balance may become negative and further use may be blocked. Credits are restored if a dispute is resolved in our favour and the payment is retained.
